If so, you too can be part of the dream! emocapella is looking for low bases and beat boxers this semester. Save the date: Back by popular demand, the emocapella anti-valentines day show, which is the most musical hooded protest to the hallmark holiday that is valentines day you will ever see is going to be February 9th, here in DC. The New Kiddies

We are proud to announce that several poor souls showed up for auditions the other week, thus ensuring that emocapella will be around for at least another year. Congratulations to our newest members, Julian, Adam, Matt, Michael, & Ryan. This class has been unanimously branded as our most emo yet. You can find out just how emo they are in our members section.

If you or somebody you know has the oral dexterity to beat box – aka be the next emocapella vocal percussionist – we will begin holding tryouts soon. Shoot us an e-mail at emocap@gwu.edu if your interested in more info.

Want to be part of the Emo magic? Here’s your chance. Auditions are this Tuesday and Wednesday, September 12th and 13th at 8:00 PM outside room B120. That’s in the basement of the Academic Center (Rome/Phillips halls). You don’t need to show up both days, and it shouldn’t take more then about five minutes. Auditions are open to all male GW students, so if you fit the requirements and can sing, beatbox, or are just really emo then come try out!

On a related note, we’ve gotten a bunch of questions from girls wanting to try out so here’s the thing – you can come try out if you reeeally want to… but we can’t let you in the group. Sorry it would totally ruin the whole emo thing, you know? But lets still be friends, ok?
