Artemy Kalinovsky was born into a band of gypsies wandering through Andalusian Spain. This was a very emotional group of gypsies. If a male gypsy was ever rejected by a female gypsy, the male gypsy would withdraw into his tent and let out long wails. According to an ancient tradition, on the night of rejection, all females rejected their male suitors, and a loud but harmonious moaning would spread across the gypsy camp. As sad and strange as this ritual was, Artemy grew fond of it, and when he came to states to attend University, he missed it greatly. Sometimes he would wail emotionally in his bathroom but it was not the same because a bathroom is not much like a tent but it’s nice because it has a toilet. Then one day he heard Emocapella perform. Right away he knew that if he was to ever reclaim that emotional gypsy spirit, he would have to join these guys. Yes he did, yes he did, yes.
