OMG! I Cry in the Shower. When are Auditions?
Want to be part of the Emo magic? Here’s your chance. Auditions are September 10th and 11th at 8:00 PM outside room B120. That’s in the basement of the Academic Center (Rome/Phillips halls). You don’t need to show up both days, and it shouldn’t take more then about five minutes. Auditions are open to all male GW students, so if you fit the requirements and can sing, beatbox, or are just really emo then come try out!
On a related note, we’ve gotten a bunch of questions from girls wanting to try out so here’s the thing - you can come try out if you reeeally want to… but we can’t let you in the group. Sorry it would totally ruin the whole emo thing, you know? But lets still be friends, ok?
If you’ve got any questions, just shoot us an e-mail at .

Emocapella is back with their fourth annual Anti Valentine’s Day Show. Join us in hooded protest of the Hallmark Holiday that is Valentines day as we say “Fuck Hallmark”. If you’re in the area, its Friday, February 9th at 7:00 PM in the Mitchell Theatre (19th st in between F and E, NW). We’re bringing back two emo classics with Alkaline Trio’s “Enjoy Your Day” and Reel Big Fish’s “Where Have You Been?” and premiering emo’s newest rendition of Jack’s Mannequin’s “Dark Blue”. If you’ve got teh facebook, check out our poster, its pretty sweet. I’ll give you a hint, it involves boobs. (http://gwu.facebook.com/event.php?eid=2234870254)
Also, we’re in the midst of planning our spring tour. Traditionally we visit a few college campuses and check out the local scene. If you can make a case for why we should come visit you (really, a place to crash for the night is a good enough reason), shoot us an email at and we’ll see where things go from there.
Tshirts and CDs are still for sale through our website… there is still time before valentines day! Tell that someone special that its not working with a pink emo heart studded tshirt. Details in the right column.
Anyways, in the words of Alkaline Trio, “Enjoy Your Day”
